Assessed the effects of a psycho-educational group for adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Pretest and posttest comparisons were conducted for the treatment ( n = 9; aged 31–52 yrs) and control ( n = 8; aged 36–49 yrs) groups using thoughts, feelings, and actions self-assessment, a 7-item checklist of organizational skills, and a 7-scale inventory of adult ADHD behaviors. Specific group counseling interventions were constructed using information from these assessments and the Group Pentagon model. Results show that the group experience had statistically significant effects in improving organization skills. Ss were able to examine and change their thoughts, feelings, and actions to improve time management and task completion. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2012 APA, all rights reserved)
