People stare on the street

One day I was with mum and dad in town.
Everyone was looking at me and I didn't like it at all.
It made me upset.
I asked mum and dad:
"Why is everyone looking at me?"
They explained to me that people were probably looking at my wheelchair.
"The only thing you can do is ignore it.
People will always look at you and maybe wonder why you are in a wheelchair.
It doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you," they said.
That made me feel much better.
If I had not said anything to mum and dad, I probably would have kept on being sad.
