Stop worrying so much

I feel free.
A year ago, a started taking public transport to school.
The school transport service had lots of problems and I was sick of it.
I had practised travelling by myself before.
I had a little trouble finding my way but I got help from people.
It felt cool.
Now I practice on the way to choir on Mondays.
Mum is one of those encouraging people.
She is kind of like me.
You can do it!
It will go great!, she says.
But my dad, he gets really worried.
Isn't this really hard for you? he says.
How will you manage?
And what happens if you can't find your way?
Who will help you then?
It's annoying.
I often say to him: "Stop worrying all the time".
But sometimes I don't say much.
I just ignore him.
You need to stand on your own two feet, believe in yourself and try to get your parents to understand that it is important to be independent, to manage on your own.
It's nice to feel that you don't need help every second of the day.
